    Fiesta
So things are still going really well. I have met some pretty cool friends, my three neighbors, Alfonso, Roberto, and Luis. They are actually my neighbors so it makes it really easy to get in touh. Katia, the wife in the house underneath my apt., says they are really cool and nice. She was certainly right. We have been hanging out a lot and last night I cooked dinner for us, chicken, mashed potatoes and greenbeans. It made me think of cooking dinner in Athens with Matt, Mitch, David, and Stella etc. It is always nice to have a little slice of my old home in my new home.
Last night we went to a concert/huge fiesta in Parrita. It is crazy how they do these parties. Basically they will build a stage and mini discos and booths like at a fair in a huge field in some small town. Then, people from all over travel there to party. There was seriously like at least 3000 people, just in the concert area at this place last night. They party really late here, just like in Spain. I`ve gone out quite a bit this week, because starting monday I am only going to be able to go out on weekends. I really just don´t think I could do the whole teaching thing on minimal hours of sleep.

Speaking of school, I still don´t know what grades/classes I am teaching. I know it is just part of their culture to do things really slow and what not, but its pretty hard to adjust to. I have to go to meetings all next week about god knows what, when I should be using that time to plan my lessons. I guess I will just have to chill and patiently wait. What can you do right? I am just anxious to know.

Well, my internet time is about to expire so I gotta run. I hope to hear from you all soon. Pura Vida

    Mi Vida Nueva
    Well,
To clear a few things up, This is no longer a blog about European Adventures. It is about Costa Rican Adventures, but I can't figure out how to change that part of the profile. I have made the big move to COSTA RICA. I live in Quepos which is in Puntarenas. It is located in the central pacific coast, if you look for it on the map. I work in Paquita at a private K-10 school called Colgeio Delfines. The view from the school is breathtaking. It is in an open field and behind is nothing but giant mountains of jungle. Much of the time the clouds hug the mountain, but when it clears up, it is gorgeous. I am not sure what grades I am teaching yet. There is a team of four English teachers and we are going to meet for the first time on the 31st to discuss who is teaching what classes. We then will have until the 11th to create our lesson plan for the first trimester. I know I am the youngest and least experienced of the teachers, but I have met one of them and she is extremely supportive and helpful. I will be able to learn a lot from them. I am so excited to start this job and can't wait to start working. I think I can say as far as jobs go, this is the first time I have been excited to work. I mean O'Charleys and Mitra just really didn't do it for me.;-)

I found a fabulous place to live. I live in apartment above a family's house. They have four apartments that they rent. The parents of the family are Juan and Katia (just like Cathy, my mom). They have two sons. Jonathan is 15 and Ignacio is 9. These people have truly accepted me into their home as a part of the family. They treat me like gold. I feel truly blessed to have found them. They are certainly making my transition much easier. And listen to this. The first day that I was sitting in their living room, I looked at their shelves and Harry Dog (UGA’s mascot) was Chilin on a shelf. That is an omen like no other. Home for sure 
My room is one big room with a kitchen built into a little nook and a bathroom. It is a perfect size for one person. I have a porch that doesn’t quite have an ocean view, but it has a nice view of the city and it is really pretty when the sun is setting. Trust me this place is golden. I will put up pictures soon.

Dad and I just got from diving, hiking, and horse back riding in Drake Bay, the true paradise of the world. I could go to this place and never leave. It is a tiny town in the middle of the jungle, a natural paradise. We saw dolphins, sharks, eels, and tons of fish while diving. During our hike through Corcovado national park, we saw Sloths, Owls, turkey vultures, tons of pretty birds, and crocodiles. I want to go back because I didn’t see a Tapir and I hear that they are seen there frequently. We also did a horse back through the jungle to some waterfalls with crystal clear water. Later that night I went bar hopping with our horse guide. The great thing is that we went by horse back!!! Before this, the strangest means of transportation for me was bar hopping in Amsterdam by bike with Ashley. This is truly a place that every one should visit, if not just for the gorgeous vistas (views).

The people in this country certainly reflect the beauty of the land. Everyone is always smiling, truly enjoying life, each day to the fullest. I am inspired by their fervor for life, and hope that this feeling stays with me forever. Everyone in this country wants you to enjoy their country and they are always happy to lend you a hand. I met so many people in Drake Bay that say, “When you come back to visit, call me and you can stay with me.” Most of them don’t want to charge you barely anything. This is surely a kindness that is new to me. There are no inhibitions. People aren’t concerned with what others think of them. They don’t think, “I wonder if this person doesn’t like my house or the way I live.” They simply invite you into their home without a second thought. Generosity at its finest.

Well, this is a bit of how my transition is going. I do miss you all, and hope that many of you will visit. It truly is a place you have to see. I do not yet have internet at my house so my phone isn’t usually on. I do receive voice mails though. Eventually my phone should work like a house phone, but everything takes time.
I love you all very much and hope to hear from you soon.

    The land of plenty...of everything
Holy shit Amsterdam is AMAZING! This town is cool on so many levels I cant even describe it. Its a chill, party town with tons of history and fun stuff to do. I've been to the sex museum, the weed museum, the VanGogh musuem, The Heiniken Museum. Today I am going to the cheese factory and Ashley and are renting bikees. Then, off to a picnic in Vogal Park. Everyone in this town is smoking weed on the streets. At first it was kind of strange now its normal and so great. I seriously dont want to leave this town! Ashley and I hung out with these three english blokes last night and I seriously felt like I was on a walking comedy tour with the English. Life is great and certainly enjoying myself in this town. Anyone who wants to make a trip sometime agian to Amsterdam, I'm so up for it. See you all soon.

    Living on the Train
    Hey guys,
Well, since I last posted I went to Venice for three nights and now I'm in Amsterdam. Venice was awesome. It does not smell like everyone says but it is hot as shit! Seriously, after I got out of the shower I was sweating within a minute. I didnt really see too much of the sites in Venice, just sort of wandered around and looked at the canals and stuff. We took a boat to a an island called Murano where they blow glass. We saw a glass master make a vase in front of us and it was really cool. Seriously walking about the glass shops there was as good as walking through a museum. It was kind of a hassel to get all the way into Venice from our hostel cuz we were staying right ousitde of Venice but it all worked out. We met this guy named Gogo (short for somethere in Turkish) and he looked just like Johnny Depp! It was funny cuz he kept asking us to take pictures of him but he would describe exactly how he wanted the picture taken. "I want the light post in the left corner of the shot and Im gonna walk over here and take the picture from my profile..." pretty funny Turkish guy who lives in Australia. Its so cool meeting all these people from different countires. After Venice Ashley and I took a train from Venice to Milan and then Milan to Frankfurt to Amsterdam. Let's just say they charged me up the ass and there was nothing I could do about it. We were on trains for 16 hours. Our sleeper train, the one from Milan to Frankfurt, was soooo small. The room was about the size of a queen or king sized bed but with six twins straight on top of eachother! Ashley and I were in the top bunk and she almost fell off of the ladder but luckily I was there to catch her. It was in interesting experience, not to comfortable, I'm sure you can imagine, but at least there was airconditioning. Ill tell you that is certainly something that I miss about the states. Anyway, we are finally in Amsterdam. Ashely and I "visited a coffee shop" immediately and then wandered the streets. Seriously the red light district is disturbing. Hookers just in windows in their thongs, knocking on the glass and staring at you...at the street is right next to a church...weird. Anyway, Im sure Ill have lots more interesting stories to tell you guys later. ta ta for now.

    Let's go Italy!!!
Tonight is the world cup and I'm going to watch it in Florence. Lucky lucky me! Hopefully the Italians will win and I'll party all night with the locals. Ashley finally got her bag back after 5 days... Note to all of you planning trips in Italy...NEVER FLY ALITALIA!!! Our hostel in Rome was super ghetto, but in a pretty good location. I'm just happy I made it out with all of my shit. We did meet some cool people those,a chick fromCanada who was so crazy and fun and a guy from Australia who was really chill. We actually did sightseeing and shit together. I hope to see them again sometime, somewhere. They are some super world travelers, Thailand,Africa..etc. We also had a lot of fun on a pub crawl, but then again when don't you have fun on a pub crawl. ;-) I didn't get to see everything I wanted to see with goign to and from the airport twice andstressing about Ashley's bag. I saw the Vatican city, the Sistine Chapel, Saint Peters square and church, the Colleseum, The Roman Foramand, the national museum of Rome and a few other things. I went to see the Panthenon but the bus driver drove me to the damn rural area of Rome, told me to get on some tram and just left me. Then there were like all these strikes, the taxidrivers, the bus drivers, metro and tram all at different times. I almost got stranded and in the middle of nowhere. When it came down to it I didnt have enough time to see the Panthenon because I had to catch my train to Florence. Our hostel here in Florence is sooooo much nicer than the one in Rome. Tomorrow we are taking a train to Venice. I'll write again from there. I hope you guys are watching the world cup tonight and rooting for Italia! Ciao Bella!

    F*uck the airline Alitalia
So, It's been 5 days and Ashley still doesnt have her bag. Let's just say that has pu a bit of a damper oin the trip. I have lost all hope that the bag will come. We are going on a pub crawl tonight and tomorrow we leave for Florence. Today we visited the Vatican city Along with Saint Peters Square, the Sistine Chapel and all that good stuff. It was great. Tonight the pub crawl meets at the Spanish steps so that should be fun too. My internet time runs out in a minute. I just wanted to saw hello to all of you and ask you to send Ashley some white light cuz good lord she needs it. Peace out

    From Barcelona to Roma
    Hey Yall,
Sorry Ive been Missing in Action for the past while. Things got crazy at the end of the Cadiz program and I forgot to write. Well I spend five nights in Barcelona, saw a lot of the Gaudi architexture like the Sagrada Familia and La Pedrera. That was pretty beautiful and I'll put pics up when the internet is cheaper. Its damn 50 euro cents for 10 minutes here. There really try and rob you. Im in Rome now and there is damn taxi strike, my luck. We couldnt find out hostel at first and some taxi guy tried to charge us 40 euros to take us to our hostel. I said hell no cuz I knew it was walking distance. Eventually we navigated our way there and all was well. Now its just Ashley and I for a week. The airline lost her luggage so she has been without luggage for 3 days now. I wonder if we are ever going to get it. It certainly is putting a damper on the trip but we are trying to stay positive. Our hostel is pretty freakin Ghetto. There are at least40 rooms or so and only trwo bathrooms. Its annoying cuz there isnt a separate stall for the shower so sometimes you have to wait forever to pee. And there is no toliet seat on the toliet near my room. I mena what the F, what if you have to ....you know. Damn Romans. I think we are going to go to the Vatican city today and then I'm not sure. Since the net is so expensive all personal emails are pretty much off for me so continue to check the blog. Whoever sent that message about facebook, you can only look at facebook if you are a member. I love you all. Kisses and love. Enjoy your airconditioning and ice cuz there is none of that here. ta ta

damn i´ve been away for far too long.
To those of you who actually read this,
Sorry I´ve been away for so long. I´ve been busy having too much fun in Spain and sooo much has happened since the last time I posted. I just started to put pics on facebook cuz its sooo much easier. Anyway, I went to Sevilla the weekend before last and saw the third biggest cathedral in the world. It was gorgeous. The pics from the inside didnt really turn out because it was ginormous and I don´t think my bebe flash could quite reach the massive ceilings. When we were in Sevilla we had a Eurotrash night...For those of you who aren´t familiar with what Eurotrash is...its the description of the absolutely attrocious (sp) fashion that exists in Europ. The guys clothing could arguably be accused as gay and the girls, super 80s with a twist. Look at pics on facebook for now and later I might put some on Livejournal. Anyway, it was a night to remember. We were walking down the street and some random spanish guy stole my hat off my head. I proceded with a mad cuss out, in english mind you, which they obviously didn´t understand. All of a sudden I find myself and my friend Brendan in the middle of a Spanish fight. We defenitely wisely decided tp punk out and I never got my hat back. It certainly didnt leave a good impression of Sevilla. Sevilla is nothing like Cadiz. They really don´t like Americans there. They seriously will not let you into most of the clubs if you are American unless it is like¨"special American wednesday" or some bullshit like that. I hate being hated for being American, so that is why Im glad Im in Cadiz. We are more or less accepted here. As for Cadiz, my time here is short lived and I´m sad. I only wish I could have another week to just experience the town without having to go to school. (I just finished my exames btw which were pretty easy..YAY) Our last weekend here was crazy drunkeness. We went to our favoriate discotecas and bar and had a blast. I could say so much more, but the beach is waiting for me and I only have two beach days left.

    Kim

P.S. For those of you who don´t know, Adrian Brody and Penelope Cruz were filming a movie in Cadiz and I got a picture with Penelope. Who would think that they would come to little ol´Cadiz to film a love scene on the playa Coletta.

    Alhambra....my future palace.
    Alhambra pics

I know you can´t really capture a ceiling in a picture, but the ceilings at the Alhambra were so ornate, I couldn´t help myself.

The Gardens inside of the Alhambra were amazing, the most colorful and strong scented roses I´ve ever smelt....smelt that´s a word isnt it...I think my english is beginning to fail me.

This is me hanging off of a random knocker on the side of one of the buildings. When I did this, this bitchy woman walked by and said, "Oh, she must be American." Damn right I´m American, what the hell is so wrong with that. Sometimes I get tired off Europeans negatively stereotyping Americans.

This is one of the many patios/gardens in the Alhambra. But that tree that´s sticking out has special meaning. Many many years past, one of the sultans caught his most prized mistresses making out with a mysterious gentleman under this tree. With unbridled rage the mystery man was hung at once, but the tree still stands with a plaque reminding us not to make moves on sultans mistresses.... or else...

    The waves are subsiding...
To those of you that I talked to recently, I am on the up swing. To those of you who I haven´t talked to recently I´ve been kind of sick, white bumps in my throat and reall high fevers. My madre gave me some random ass antibiotics because she said her daughter had the same thing. I took them but then it started to get worse so I insisted that we go to a doctor. I went today and he confirmed her diagnosis. My program director went with me so I could understand everything that the doctor said to me since I havent really brushed up on my spanish medical terms lately. Anyway, it was hard enough to understand the doctor, not to mention his voice sounded just like Kermit the Frog. It took all I had not to laugh. But, all said and done hopefully I will be 100% in a few days. The whole language barrior thing during these past few days has been brutal. When you´re sick and you can´t explain everything you want, its soooo frustrating. I started craying at lunch and my madre thought it was because I was homesick! I tried to explain that it was because I was in pain and couldn´t explain what I wanted, that I was "overwhelmed", but that word just isn´t in my vocabulary. I am going to a wine tasting today which I will not be able to fully enjoy because I don´t think I´ll be drinking any wine, but at least I feel up to going. :-) Anyway I hope everyone at home is doing well. Next time I get to the computer I´ll put up more pictures. I just haven´t really felt up to it lately. Ta ta amigos

A glimpse of Granada with the beginings of my miles of pics of the mighty Alhambra
Ok, these pics are from Granada. The best ones are going to be on the next entry because I am not going to have time to put all of the ones from the Alhambra on here. Quick history note: The Alhambra is a great Islamic Palace that has been conquered and reconquered and added onto for centuries. It ended with a Catholic King, King Carlos the whatever, I can never remember the numbers. Anyway this place is absolutely gigantic and fabulous. I can only imagine what life must have been like when people actually lived there....I bet they had some crazy parties...

The next few pics are of me and this random Spanish chicks that I met in Plaza Einstine in Granada. They tried to convince me to come to a fiesta with them but I was by myself and I didnt want to ride off into the night with some random chicks. I bet it was a great fiesta though...

These are some Spanish girls that my friend Steve and I played in Fooze Ball. We lost miserably because I was so terrible, and drunk, but it was still really fun.

    Me and Misty

This is the begining of the Alhambra pictures. This palace is so big you can only get a full picture of it if you are on another mountain, so this is just a tiny sliver. If the Alhambra were an extra large pizza, this might be half of a peporoni.

A colliseum within the walls of the Alhambra. It was being renovated.

One of the many breathtaking views from the Alhambra.

My friends Jaimie and Monica in Lagos Portugal. Check out the gigantic aloe plants.

    Lagos Portugal

Me and this really sweet lady named Maria who worked at my hostel in Portugal. Our comunication was definitely limited since she only spoke Portuegese, but she definitely made fun of me (with love) for having such a fat bookbag that I couldn´t fit through the door. We had a connection. I really wanted to take Maria back to the states, but I couldnt fit her in my beachbag....triste

We discovered a Mexican restaraunt in Spain and I think I owe my soul to it. Mexican food is soooooo much better than spanish food. We definitely enjoyed some tasty margaritas there along with some delicious nachos burritos etc.

    Hola chicos,
Í´m chillen at the internet cafe near my house after a long day of class and beach. Life ain´t too bad. This past weekend I went to Granada, which was absolutely amazing. It was a five hour bus ride and the city has Spain´s bigest university so there were a lot of people my age there. The first night I got there we ate dinner at the hotel and then we got ready to go out. We pregamed in the hotel and then we left to go to a discoteca, but when we were walking through a plaza I started talking to these spanish girls. They were so cool and for some reason they really liked me. All of a sudden I turned around and everyone that I was with was gone! I was like shit, I don´t even know exactly where my hotel is. Thank god there were a few other people from my program drinking in the plaza. I want back and talked to the Spanish girls and they tried to convince me to come to this party, which I probably would have gone to but they said we had to take a bus so I was like NO WAY. After that me and this guy Steve from my program bar hopped looking for people, who we never found, but it was really fun. We played foozball with some spanish girls and lost terribly cuz I really sucked. All in all it was a great night cuz I got to practice my spanish a lot.
The next day I went to the Alhambra which is this old islamic palace from thousands of years ago. It was conquered and reconquered several times but I think it ended with a Catholic king. It was sooooo freakin huge. It took us 2 and a half hours to walk through it and Im not even sure if we saw it all. There were amazingly detailed ceilings all molded and painted different colors. There were ceddar ceilings, an amazing inside water system of fountains and then there were aquducts outside. The gardens were incredible too, tons of roses in bloom, and intricate mazes. Really, it´s not something I can describe and I doubt that the pics will do it justice but Ill put them up any way. I ate a ¨Shawarma¨for lunch on the way home and it was mucho delicioso. It was kind of like a pita but grilled with chicken lettece tomoatos, carrots, several different sauces in it. I wish we had a Shawarma shop in cadiz!
That night we went to a Flamenco show at a theatre with a gorgeous view of the Alhambra. By the way, that shit aint nothing like salsa. It was more similiar to tap but way cooler. I´m serious I didnt know people could even move like that. After the flamenco show we "botellon"ed at a plaza near the hotel. It was cool cuz there was some three day festivle going on so there was a live band. They even sang some english songs but I dont think they really knew english becaues they wre siging them all wrong. It was pretty hillarious. So, we started talking to these spanish guys and we noticed that the policia were sort of invading our plaze. Apparently it was illegal to botellon in this plaza so we went to another area with our new spanish friends. It was crazy. There were like at least 300 people drinking on this street. I Practiced my spanish hardcore here. I was talking politics with some spanish guy. He started talking about past presidents, specifically Kenedy and Clinton and I was like "sorry I feels stupid cuz I dont know anything about Spanish presidents". It was really fun hanging out there because we were litterally the only americans there. At around 3 we decided to go to a discoteca but when we got there the boys we were with were wearing shorts so they couldn´t get in. Apparently Saturday nights are way more dressy in spain. Some of us stayed and we danced til 430 or so, walked back to the hotel and then had to be at breakfast at 9......very very very tired.
So, it was a fabulous weekend in Granada. I think I´m gonna post some pics on the next entry. Adios

    The Tragedy of Mismatched Keys
    Hola todos,
So, esterday we went on a boring trip to this place called San Luca. We were supposed to do a tour of a winery that makes Sherry but for some reason that got canceled. So, then we were supposed to see this crazy religious prade where these people are on a pilgramage to see Saint Mary, but that wasnt all it was cracked up to be. When we got there we sat on this dock in the cold wind for like an hour staring at this long boats that looked like docks. When the parade finally got there, it wasnt even a parade anymore. They were just loading everything onto the boats to cross the river. Part of it was cool because we got to watch them walk at least 50 horses onto the boats. A few people got a little trampled cuz the horses really didnt want to get their feet wet while walking onto the boats. All the women were dressed in traditional flamenco dresses. I will post these on the blog soon. I have this one of these four women walking down the sidewalk and I snapped their picture. I´m totally entitling it ¨Sex and the City, Spanish Style¨. We watched them load all these little decorated horse and buggy things onto the boat to. I think there was one thing that was carrying a big religious statue but we werent really close enough to it to actually tell what it was. Let´s just say our San Luca tour was a waste of time. After we watched the horses and people get onto the boats we started walking through the city. We got a bunch of free Sherry samples but it was DISGUSTING. I mean I took my sherry as a shot and even that was bad. I would have rather had straight liqour. Maybe some sherry is good but I hated this kind. It sucked cuz we were all really excited to try it cuz it´s world renowned, like San Luca is the only place in the world that makes this kind of sherry, but damn it was not good. The rest of our trip was us wandering through the city listening to our Spanish guide who I really didnt understand that well. Then, we went home.

The highlight of the night was going out to a ¨mexican¨ restaraunt. The name of the restaraunt was actually ¨Comida de Mexana¨which literally translates to Mexican food. We were super excited. I ordered an beef and cheese enchilada and they gave me a tiny bowl of meat and cheese with two tortillas. I know this is not customary ¨mexan food¨in america but i guess they do ¨mexican¨ food differently in spain, even though that makes no sense. Regaurdless of if it was a real enchilada or not, I ate it and it was damn good. Most of the food I´ve had in Spain is really plain so it was nice to have some tasty hot sauce. I was actually sweating and thats a sign it´s some gooooood hot sauce. After dinner and several margaritas we attempted to catch the bus home but it never came so we decided to walk along the beach. It took about an hour to get home but we met some cool people on the way. Jaimie and I split up because she wanted to go home and shower before we went out and she had the good set of keys. (oh yeah side note, my parents have given me 3 sets of keys. Each set has three keys cuz you have to go through three doors to get into my house. Each time they give me a new set there is one key that doesnt work. I told my padre about it the other day and he thought I was just turning the key wrong. Then I could tell he was kind of pissed when he tried my key and it didnt work. You know how men hate to be wrong. Anyway, I hadn´t told them yet that my new set of keys wasnt working so Jaimie and I have just been sticking together so I dont get locked out.) So, back to the story. My friends and I finally get to the Plaza San Fransisco where we were supposed to meet Jaimie and she´s not there. We go to another bar that we frequently go to , Nahu, and she´s not there. So, I walk all the way back to my house and I dont know what I´m going to do. There is no way you can ring the door bell if all of the doors are locked because the doorbell is in past the first door. So, basically I´m on the street with no way to get into my house. I had to go across the street to my friends house and ask his mom to use the phone, mind you we are still pretty toasty from the margaritas at this point. I give her the number cuz I thought she was gonna dial it and then give it back to me, but oh no. My padre Antonio answers the phone and the only words I caught were ¨Tengo su Americana¨ which means I have your american! I thank my friends madre profusly and go outside to meet my annoyed padre Antonio. Of course he thought that I just forgot my keys and I had to explain to him how the new set still didn´t work...me and jaimie got seperated...blah blah blah. Well, he said ¨we´ll talk about htis in the morning¨and I totally left the house before we could talk about it because I didnt want to deal with it. Basically these people need to get their keys straight. I mean it´s not my fault if the damn keys don´t work.

I´m about to go home for lunch and I´m gonna have to deal with this. Hopefully he will be nice about the incident. I have a two tests/quizes tomorrow so I have a lot of studying to do. I´m also going to Granada tomorrow to see the Alahambra and a big Flamenco show. For those of you who don´t know, Flamenco is the traditional dance style in Spain. It´s sort of similar to Salsa, but not really. I´m actually taking Flamenco classes next week. Anyway, I gotta run. ta ta

I think I´ve given up ebing able to record everything that I´ve backed up on because all of it just isnt going to get onto the blog. So, this past weekend I took a bus to Lagos Portugal. Geographically it´s not far but because of the roads and our slow ass buss driver, it took us six hours. Anyway, We got there and immediately checked into our hostel. The woman who owned the hostel was the nicest cutest Portugese lady ever! She gave me a map of Lagos and told me every bakery/restaraunt etc. that I needed to see. The hostel also was like no hostel I ever imagined. They were all semi private apartment/houses around the city. The city was really small so you can walk anywhere, just like Cadiz. Anyway, I can say that I was more than pleased. After checking in we grabed some pizza and then got ready to go out. This was where the night got kind of shity. The guys in the Portugege bars were beyond agressive. They were crowded as shit and people would just outright grab you in inappropriate places. Some guy stuck a camera up my dress and took a picture of me. A few of my friends and I started yelling at this guy out but then I wasnt sure that was the right person so we just left. The other two bars that we went to that night were the same way. I´m not sure what the other American girls are like that go there, but I can make some good guesses. Several other girls had problems too. Let´s just say it was a terrible night. We just went back to our hostel and drank. That was some fun bonding time with the group.
The next day we went to the beach, a long ass hike. The waves were fierce. All of a sudden a wave touched our feet while we were lying out. We stood up to pick up our towles and the wave completely hit everything. It was crazy hwo fast it came up. One girls camera got destroyed. That sucked. After the beach we went to one of the most amazing meals of my life. It was a small family owned Portuguese restaraunt. I had lamb chops and they were absolutely succulent! Some people ate at this restaraunt the night before and it was so good that they came back. After dinner we went to another bar called Three Monkeys. This bar was perfectly fine and the guys werent scary at all. They next day we got up early and took a long hike along the cliffs and underneath them in this little caves. It was gorgeous. I will put up pics soon because words can´t really explain it.

    So Portugal in a Nutshell:
Be careful what bars you go to. Make sure to cross out Joes Garage and Inside Out Bar. THe day life is great because the Portugese people are extremely friendly. The cliffs are breathtaking, certainly worth the long hike. If I had a chance to go back I´d probably turn it down cuz I feel that I saw everything I needed to see in Lagos. Shmee, there goes Lagos.

P.S. There was a ¨Native Ecuadorean¨ band playing at the restaraunt that we ate lunch at. It was freakin hillarious because they were trying to be authentic but it just wasn´t happening. And even if there was one believer in the audience they certainly ruined it at the end when they played ¨Let it Be¨.....what the crap

    More Toledo
Ok, So these are some more pics from Toledo. This computer is annoying as crab because I have to upload each picture seperately onto the computer. It won´t let me do the shift thing so I can select a bunch of them. Oh, well. Anyway, The painting in these pictures is the ¨Christo de Luz¨ which is in this ancient temple built thousands of years ago..We bought tickets to go in and they sait it was a museum but then it was just that one painting on the roof of the temple. I always thought that to be a museum you had to have at least two paintings but apparently there is no requirement. The other pics are just of around Toledo. There are a few of a Cathedral and just of the city. The ones with me and one other girl are of me and my roomate Jaimie or as we call her in Spain Jaimita. I think that´s enough explaining for now. ta ta
